how To enter: Every proposal must be correlated by a motto proposed by the participant. The
related documents must not bear the name of the designer or allow his/her
identification in any way.
Every proposal must be accompanied by the data sheet annexed to these
contest regulations (see Annex 2), filled in and signed (by the individual
designer or by all the members of the group, indicating the group leader), and
it will be the only document to establish correspondence between the proposal
and the project. The identity of the designers shall be kept separate from the
projects until the winning proposal is chosen.
The projects must be sent via certified email to:

in one single file in .PDF format, max size 8 MB, by and no later than 12
o’clock midnight of 15 May 2018.

eligibility: Indonesian citizen; 15-30 years old; Design has to be original and never published anywhere before
Design has to represent Indonesian-American cooperation
Design must incorporate batik
Contestants must submit images of previous work (designs and/or images of produced garments)
Submitted designs must be producible for Rp1.5 juta or less

To join: attach your batik design as either a .jpeg or .pdf file format and mail it to contest@atamerica.info with the subject: "Batik Fusion @america".
In the same e-mail, you will either attach files showing samples of your previous work or provide a link to view that work.
You will also need to explain your submitted design's concept (300 words max). Your explanation should answer the following questions:
- How does your design reflect the values and cultures of Indonesia and the United States?
- Why have you chosen the particular pieces of fabric in your design?
- Why have you chosen the elements of style in your design (meaning the cut, length, collar type, sleeve length or whatever embellishments are used)?

The @america judges will choose designers who are eligible to join the second round. The finalists for the second round will be announced on The National Batik Day, 2nd October 2014 at @america. The finalists will have to produce this outfit between the 3rd of October and the 3rd of November, 2014.

On the 8th of November 2014, we will have the Grand Fusion Show where the outfits will be debuted in a fashion show at @america. At the end of the show, @america judges will announce the winner of Batik Fusion @america.
